Thank You from Tuyen Quang

The money sent to Tuyen Quang by a number of CAS families has been completely delivered.  Thuy’s nanny friend at the orphanage was on holiday for Tet and returned a few days ago.  Upon her return, she picked up the wired funds and used them as needed.  She wrote back and this is what she said.

Dear chi Thuy,

It’s been awhile since I wrote to you. I was on leave for two weeks for Tet to visit my boyfriend’s family which is about 300km from Tuyen Quang. Sorry for the delay in letting you know that we received the second wire of $500 that you sent. We used the money to buy more blankets and clothes for the children. We also bought blenders and more heaters. The remainder of the money is being saved for a rainy day. Please send our sincere thanks to those families that contributed to help us.

I got the album and pictures you sent via Thanh Thuy’s family. All the kids look so beautiful in the pictures. We are so happy to see Thanh Hoa and Thuy Linh’s pictures and very surprised to see how much they’ve grown. It means so much to us to see pictures of kids or babies with their families after they left here. It always makes us feel so good inside to see how happy and healthy they are and how fast they have grown.

I took pictures of Cap, Hung, Luan and Pham during Tet and sent them to you with Thanh Thuy’s family. Hopefully, you will get them when they come back to America.

I’ve been very busy with work around the center. The number of babies has increased since you were here last. So, that keeps all of us here busy around the clock. If you know any families that want to know about their baby’s status or want pictures of them, feel free to let me know.

What you do for the children, you do for the nannies as well because they care for those children as if they were their own.  There’s nothing more to be said on this point.  This letter says it all.
